ZBL top team - USK Praha (16-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Slovanka (1-13) 126-34. USK Praha held Slovanka to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 62.4 percent accuracy of the winners. USK Praha forced 26 Slovanka turnovers and outrebounded them 47-17 including a 31-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. USK Praha looked well-organized offensively handing out 42 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Slovanka's players. It was a good game for French forward Janelle Salaun (188-2001) who led her team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). French forward Valeriane Ayayi (184-1994) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. Ukrainian center Anastasiia Kovtun (196-2002) answered with 8 points and forward Jitka Pilarova (180-2003) added 6 points in the effort for Slovanka. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. USK Praha have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-0 record. Slovanka lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. USK Praha are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Basket Ostrava (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Slovanka will play against the league's second-placed Zabiny Brno and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
